National Poisons Information Centre (NPIC)

M.Sc. Forensic Science students, accompanied by Prof. (Dr.) Amarnath Mishra, Head of Lloyd Institute of Forensic Science, Greater Noida, embarked on a significant educational journey. They visited the National Poisons Information Centre (NPIC). They actively participated in the National Conference on Mitigation and Prevention of Poisonings: Challenges and Opportunities, hosted by the Department of Pharmacology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on April 27, 2023.

Established in February 1995, NPIC serves as a vital resource, providing around-the-clock information on poisoning management to healthcare professionals and the general public. During their visit, our students were immersed in an enlightening experience. They delved into the diverse realms of poisons and acquired invaluable insights into various techniques for managing different types of poisoning cases.

The event also offered our students the opportunity to engage in an enlightening lecture series and connect with a range of delegates. These interactions facilitated a deeper understanding of Forensic Pharmacology and Toxicology.
